About the Foundation

Mission:
The Matia Mobility Foundation exists to empower individuals with mobility challenges by reducing financial barriers to life-changing medical devices. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, independence, and mobility, regardless of their financial situation. Through community-driven donations, we provide grants and support to help individuals access Matia Mobility’s innovative standing and mobility solutions.

A world where everyone, regardless of financial means, has access to the technology they need to stand, move, and thrive.

Individuals with mobility impairments who demonstrate financial need and would benefit from the Tek RMD or other Matia Mobility devices.

FAQs for Applicants

Anyone in the U.S. with a diagnosed mobility impairment who demonstrates financial need and would benefit from a Matia Mobility device is eligible to apply.

We ask for:

  • Proof of income (tax return, benefits letter, or pay stubs)

  • A short explanation of your mobility condition

  • A prescription written by your clinician

No. If awarded, funds are paid directly to Matia Mobility on your behalf as a discount toward your device purchase.

This varies depending on your financial situation and available funding. Awards typically cover partial cost. Most recipients receive between $1000–$5,000.

Applications are reviewed monthly. You’ll hear from us within 30 days of submitting a complete application.

Yes, applicants are welcome to reapply if their financial situation changes or additional documentation can be provided.

Yes! The Matia Mobility Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive a receipt for your records after making a donation.

100% of public donations go directly toward funding mobility devices for individuals in financial need. Administrative costs are covered by internal funding or corporate partners.

Absolutely. We welcome tribute donations. When donating, you can indicate if the gift is in someone’s name, and we’ll send an acknowledgment if you’d like.

Yes. We share real stories (with permission) from grant recipients, along with annual impact reports outlining how many individuals were helped and how funds were distributed.
